WAP Push SMS
You can send WAP Push SMS via OneSixty and it costs exactly the same to send as regular SMS text messages (1 credit to the UK and 1.5 credits Overseas) but instead of the recipient receiving a text message, they will receive a link to their handset where they can download one of your products; for example, a ringtone, wallpaper, application, etc.
WAP Push SMS is most commonly used to deliver a product after the recipient has been billed via a Premium Rate text message.
Do you have credits remaining in your Esendex, TextAnywhere or Txtlocal account? If so, simply open an account with us and enter your username and password when prompted to import these credits.
You might have one or multiple accounts with each provider - it doesn't matter. We will use those credits first and once they've been used up, you can then purchase additional credits from us - at a much cheaper rate.
Not only can you send* text messages through these providers, we can also pull any new incoming messages sent to your numbers and/or keywords with these providers and display them in the OneSixty Control Panel.
You might be wondering how this is possible - let us explain. In short, these providers provide a free API with no restrictions, much like the OneSixty API, that allows you to forward any new incoming messages to a website address.
Basically, we provide you with this much needed website address that is unique to you, on our server, which you then add to your account settings under each account. Once saved, all future incoming messages are sent to us and are displayed in the OneSixty Control Panel. Clever, hey?
This process allows you to gradually phase out your existing marketing material with your old numbers and/or keywords on, eventually replacing them with your new ones from OneSixty; whilst at all times maintaining a centralised system for all of your text messages.
What's more, is that you have a choice of 3 short codes to choose from so there is every chance your existing keywords are very much available.
